Do I have to take the USMLE Step 3 exam?

No, applicants are not required to have passed the USMLE Step 3 exam at the time of application, however applicants are encouraged to complete Step 3 before the start date.

Do you require an ECFMG Certificate when I apply to your training program?

You must be eligible for an ECFMG Certificate in order to apply. We require that you submit your ECFMG Certificate through ERAS before June 30th. We are required to have an ECFMG Certificate on file for every IMG intern who is accepted into our training program.

Do you sponsor H1-B Visas?

No, we do not sponsor H1-B Visas.

Do you sponsor J-1 Visas?

Yes, we do sponsor J-1 Visas.

Do you waitlist invited applicants for the interview days that are filled?

Yes, we will waitlist.

How many intern positions do you offer?

We have eleven intern positions approved by ACGME. Depending upon the programmatic structure, all, or some, of the approved positions will be filled.

Is there a medical school graduation cutoff date?

Yes, there is a cutoff date. In order to be considered for an interview for our program, applicants must have graduated from medical school within the past 5 years.

Is there a minimum USMLE Step 1 score?

Applicants must pass the USMLE Step 1 exam on the first attempt and achieve a score of 215 or higher.

Is there a minimum USMLE Step 2 CK score?

Applicants must pass the USMLE Step 2 CK exam on the first attempt and achieve a score of 220 or higher.

Is U.S. clinical experience required for IMGs?

No, we will review your application, even if you do not have U.S. clinical experience.

What is the application deadline?

January 15th is our application deadline. We strongly encourage all applicants to submit their applications in September because our interview days become filled very quickly.

What percentage of your residents are IMGs?

We currently have 80% IMGs.

When do you notify applicants if they will be invited for an interview?

Invitations to interview will be emailed on an ongoing basis, until the program's interview dates are filled.
