Danbury Community Center

Building Facade with CIFC logo

The Danbury Community Center brings individuals of all ages together through well-crafted recreation, enrichment, and community-building events – inspired by, and reflecting the interests of those who reside in the greater Danbury area. We offer opportunities to learn new skills, polish existing talents, and come together as neighbors in service of building a stronger, more vibrant Danbury community.

The DCC is located in the heart of Downtown Danbury, just off Main Street. It is accessible from the public bus line and has parking. It houses the only indoor public pool in Danbury, a full-size basketball court, a meeting or activity room, and a mirrored dance studio.

The building at 12 Boughton Street has been in the Danbury Community for over 50 years. Originally built as the physical education building for the St Peters School, it was a facility of the Greater Danbury YMCA before being acquired by CIFC in 2018. The building was rebranded and opened as the Danbury Community Center in 2019 and named for then Governor Daniel P. Malloy. Although the center did shut down during COVID, it was reopened to the public in 2022.
