CIFC's Greater Danbury Community Health Center (GDCHC) welcomes people of all ages and incomes to make GDCHC your medical home – regardless of your ability to pay.
Get the Care You Need, When You Need It, By a Provider You Know.
We accept most commercial health insurance plans, as well as Medicare, Medicaid/Husky and all of the plans on Access Health CT. The charge for your visit is based on a sliding fee scale.
If you don't have insurance, we have a variety of payment options and financial assistance though our Sliding-Fee Scale, which is based on your income, family size, and ability to pay. Eligible applicants may receive significant savings off the cost of their care. Our GDCHC Eligibility Specialists can answer any questions you may have on patient billing, insurance, or help you with financial assistance applications. Our Eligibility Specialists help with applications to Husky/Medicaid, AccessHealthCT, and our GDCHC sliding-fee scale. Call GDCHC and ask to speak with an Eligibility Specialist today.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Greater Danbury Community Health Center offers sliding fees based on income in accordance with federal poverty guidelines and patient family size for all of our services. GDCHC's Eligibility Specialists can help determine if you qualify. You may be required to apply for HUSKY prior to the Sliding-Fee Determination. For more information or to find out how you can enroll, please contact an Eligibility Specialist by dialing (203) 743-0100.
Prescription Assistance Program
GDCHC also offers a Prescription Assistance Program that will help you find ways to afford your medications. We look for low-cost or no-cost medications. Our mission at Prescription Assistance is to assure that you have access to the medications you need at a rate you can afford!
How Does it Work?
After enrolling in the Prescription Assistance program, you will receive your medications for a lowered fee at specific pharmacies in the Greater Danbury area. This fee is always much less than the usual cost of the medication. Ask your GDCHC provider or front desk staff or more information.
